Virtua Physician of the Quarter (9/08):
Kendal O'Hare, PGY-2

"I would like to nominate Dr. Kendal O'Hare as physician of the quarter. Kendal exemplifies what a role model for the healthcare profession should be. She is energetic and always ready to collaborate and learn. Her teamwork was unmatched and contagious while she did her night rotation in the ICU. Each and every nurse on nights as well as days had such positive comments to share regarding Kendal. They all want her to be permanent in the ICU and had such great difficulty ending her rotation. I personally have observed her energy, compassion and dedication to the medical profession. She strives to do the right thing the first time. She participated in the RRT calls, code blues and the care of the ICU patient without hesitation. She entered into the night resident rotation with a positive attitude. She was the first resident in quite a long time to rotate through the ICU on nights. She succeeded with courage and determination. Her success in the ICU was inspiring for all residents who will follow in her footsteps. What a priviledge it is to work with such a caring and compassionate physician!"
Sincerely,
Jennifer Carmody, RN

Top Docs 2008
Only on the pages of SJ Magazine can you find a list of local physicians that other physicians say are the best in their field. Why trust this list? Because we conduct the polling. Thousands - yes, thousands - of ballots were completed by our area doctors and delivered to our office. We tallied the votes and compiled a list of those doctors who earned the most praise. Our question to voting docs was simple:
"Which of your peers would you recommend to a family member who was ill?"
Hold on to this list for when you need a doctor to care for a family member. Rest assured you’ll be in good hands - and that’s according to our area doctors.
